At the start of my Music Education Tour, I decided that I would do a short blog every day. I get to see a lot and I’m so grateful that I get to see the country. I’m happy that I get to share my experience with you.
Springfield, MA
Day 1 on the ROAD! The tour bus is going to be my home for the next 4 weeks. I don’t mind because I have my own bedroom… :p Today I went to Springfield for the first time in my life! The show went great. The response from the students was amazing. I think I made a lot of new fans and I think I made a lot of people happy by getting them out of class!! After the show we went to a local 50’s Diner. Everyone I talked to was pretty nice. Before we drove to the next city. I got to fill the bus with gas. It didn’t go too well. More tomorrow.
Warren, Rhode Island
The school in Warren had a great music program. They had not 1, not 2, but 3 classrooms dedicated to music performance and education. The principal was a HUGE music supporter and you could tell it was a big part of his life. The crowd was one of the biggest I’ve done at a school. Oh yea, did I mention it was St. Patrick’s day? Thank you to all of the students who brought me green carnations. After my set, the principal took me on a full tour of the school. The coolest parts were the TV studio and a room where they actually made boats! It was a fun day and I’m glad I got to spend St. Patty’s day with some great students.
Schenectady, NY
The bus went pretty far upstate. You know you’re upstate when you see signs for Canada. My favorite part of today’s show had to be the question & answer. They asked me sooo many good questions and I feel like they got to know me better than any other school. It rained a little today too so lets hope that doesn’t happen the rest of the tour.
West Milford, NJ
Living on the bus is fun, but getting up at 6am isn’t. Our show today was extra early but it turned out to be one of the best performances. SOO many students rushed to the front of the stage. I think the boys in the front enjoyed the show more than anyone. Their dancing was priceless. It was a fun first week and tomorrow I am co-hosting the “One is Greater Than None” benefit concert. So I’m pretty excited about that.
More blogs on the schools from next week. If you go to TiffanyFan.com, they have exclusive pictures from every school and every city on the tour. I had a great week and hey, maybe I’ll be at your school next! =]
xoxo Tiffany
